Safety Supervisor Full Time

COOEC-CPECC Joint Venture consisting of COOEC INTERNATIONAL CO., LIMITED and CHINA PETROLEUM ENGINEERING & CONSTRUCTION CORPORATION (CPECC) UGANDA LIMITED is a CNOOC Uganda Ltd Contractor for Kingfisher Oil Field Development Package-3, and the scope of work includes four well pads production facilities, central processing plant (CPF), infield Flow Lines, water intake pump stations, temporary camp, etc. If you are an experienced professional who possesses major project experience gained with an oil and gas operator or top tier contractors, then we are looking for YOU!

Job Description

• Is responsible for Kingfisher EPC3 Project safety works for the people and the project by supervising all safety activities in compliance with the CCJV (COOEC & CPECC) requirements
• Must establish a safety system and conduct emergency drills, and risk assessment and response.
• Should liaise with external parties such as government-employed inspectors to evaluate the process of construction sites
• Carry out strict Covid-19 prevention and control measures as CCJV requirement, establish fluent connection with CCJV HQ and report Covid-19 work as required
• Must take measures to identify potential workplace hazards and improve existing conditions and keep a record of all emergencies, near-misses, and critical situations for appropriate reviews.
• Must conduct safety orientation and training of employees and subcontractors in site, conduct safety training and test for expatriates before mobilization.
• Should hold regular safety meetings with CCJV HQ and implement HQ requirements.
• Should enforce CCJV safe work practices and procedures, identify unsafe or unhealthful workplace conditions or hazards, and take immediate steps to correct unsafe or unhealthful workplace conditions or hazards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering
• At least 5 years of experience with COOEC or CPECC and at least 3 years similar project experience.
